Starting care can bring questions. A chiropractic evaluation is a conversation and an exam to better understand your concerns and discuss whether chiropractic care or another option may fit your situation.
Before your visit, consider bringing a current medication list, relevant records or imaging, and a few notes about when your symptoms began, what changes them, and what you hope to get back to doing. Do not stop or change prescribed medication based on general information online.
During an evaluation, your clinician may ask about your health history, symptoms, daily activities, and goals, then perform an appropriate examination. Depending on your situation, additional evaluation or a referral may be recommended. If care options are discussed, ask about the steps involved, possible benefits and risks, alternatives, expected costs, and how progress will be reviewed.
Care is individualized. A treatment that may be appropriate for one person may not be right for another, and outcomes vary. You can take time to ask questions before deciding on a plan.
